Fun Things To Do Over Easter Weekend

Easter is just around the corner, and I’m finally feeling the seasonal inspiration kick in. Which means it’s time for a new post, cause it’s honestly been a while.

Unlike other holidays, Easter has a low-key, calm vibe. There’s no rush or hustle and bustle to it. You just want to have a cozy day at home, hang out with your family, eat delicious food and enjoy the day. But if you want to add some more activity to your holiday weekend, here are a few fun ideas to try .

Arts and crafts

Holidays are the perfect occasion to channel your creativity and make something yourself. There are so many cool ideas on Pinterest that I get lost every single year, not being able to decide which DIY to try. You can do some Easter embroidery, candle painting, decorating eggs, journaling, drawing, doing pottery, etc.. I, for instance, made a decoupage egg holder from clay. Even though it didn’t turn out as good as I wanted to–an expectation-reality kinda moment–I thoroughly enjoyed the process and I still like the results.

Treats

Easter isn’t complete without some treats, is it? I’ll admit, for me, it’s probably the best part. Again, there are lots of great recipes that are really easy to make. My personal favorites are nests made from melted chocolate, cereals and mini eggs. They look so good that you feel guilty eating them.

Atmospheric movies

My Easter usually ends up with having a cozy movie evening. And enjoying the above mentioned treats, of course. Sadly there aren’t many atmospheric films about this holiday, so I either end up rewatching Peter Rabbit (since Beatrix Potter is my ultimate Easter inspiration) or Springtime with Roo, cause you’re never too old for a Winnie the Pooh film.

Seasonal content

Taking seasonal content is one of my favorite things to do. It’s what inspires me the most, cause you’re basically capturing the essence of the holiday in art of any form, whether it’s a photo, video or even a blog post. You don’t even have to post it anywhere, just enjoy the fun process of trying to find the right angle, or describe your love for this holiday in a poetic way.

Egg hunt

I know that egg hunts are popular in many countries, but they’re usually considered a childish activity, which really isn’t fair. Cause who wouldn’t want to participate in a fun hunt and win a prize? So, if you’re hanging out with your friends and family this weekend, you can all remember your childhood once again and goof around. To make it even more tempting, use chocolate eggs instead of plastic ones. This was they’ll become the best reward.

Farm day

If you don’t want to waste the lovely spring weather staying at home all day, you can visit a local farm. Get some fresh fruits and vegetables, pet and feed the farm animals and have a lovely time. Or you can visit a park, try to find ducks and, again, feed them. Somehow Easter feels like the perfect day to spend with animals. It’s something that brings you closer to nature.

I wish you all a happy Easter and hope you’ll be having a good time, no matter how you decide to spend the day. 🐇🤍🪶
