The most romantic day of the year is once again here. This year I’ve been enjoying the atmosphere of the Valentine’s Day more than ever, probably because recently I’ve been watching many romcoms and seeing a lot of Valentine-y content online. But since I’m in a “festive mood”, I decided to share it in here along with some cute photos I’ve taken over the years.

I know that many people have mixed feelings about this day for various reasons. Some single people hate it, cause they don’t have a partner to celebrate. Those who are in a relationship are often bummed either because their partner didn’t give them any presents, or because those surprises didn’t meet their grandiose expectations. There are also those, who logically understand, that love doesn’t really need a holiday, it should be celebrated and expressed every single day.

I agree with the last point, and it’s sad when you see couples, who only show their love, affection and gratitude only on Valentine’s Day (or maximum on their birthdays). That is a big sign, that there is something off in that relationship and should be worked on. Nevertheless, I love this day, pretty much like any other holiday. I love how these special days brighten up our routines and ordinary life, give it something special.

I love seeing festive decorations throughout the city and feeling the romantic mood in the air. I love that there’s something that connects random strangers on that day. So, instead of hating on this day and calling it just a marketing scheme, why don’t you try to see the good sides of it? In the hustle and bustle of this crazy and rushed life, we all need a good reminder to show our true feelings to the people we love.
