I haven’t made a photography post for a long while, so it’s time to fix that.
Recently I got to spend a few days in the seaside. Well, technically it’s a lake called Sevan, but here in Armenia we like to call it sea, cause it looks and feels more like sea. I haven’t had a beach holiday for a few years now, so I was really excited about it, since I wanted to see how this new version of me would enjoy it.
I can still say, that I love forests more, but once again I got fascinated by the ethereal beauty of the sea. How can it be so calm yet so powerful at the same time? You look at it and instantly feel at peace but by realizing its size and power you feel a little terrified in a good way, if that makes sense.
Sea brings you the feeling of harmony with yourself, life and the world. When you’re around water, nothing else seems to matter. It’s one of the best things about nature in general – it makes you forget about your worries and problems, because how can you think about something bad when you see those landscapes in front of you.
You know what’s the strangest part. I’ve been to quite a few beach holidays, I saw actual seas, but somehow none of them felt so good and peaceful like this one. Probably because all those places had huge hotels with thousands of noisy tourists, so the only time you wanted to actually have a little alone time with the sea was in the evening when it was not as crowded. This place was a blast, as it felt like it was only you and the sea. I even went for a swim and there was not a single person in the water with me, I’ve never had such an experience, it was really cool.
So, enough rambling for this post. Just enjoy the beautiful shots I got to capture.

It does look more like a sea than a lake.

Very nice, but feeling some fatherly advice coming on!. . . Donβt go swimming in the ocean ALONE! Ever again young lady!
There, I said my old man piece.π

haha, don’t worry, I’ll never swim alone in ocean, but since it was a lake, and I didn’t go too far, it wasn’t dangerous at all, as the water wasn’t deep at allπ plus there were people at the beach, so they’d save me if something happened π but thanks for your kind words anyway!

In my defense you called it a “sea” and said you were alone! And the pics show a MIGHTY BIG lake!! And you did not mention people on the beach. So I will take off my “dad hat” and leave you to your own risky plans.
But next time, make sure someone on the beach knows you are swimming… okay, I just can’t take off the “dad hat!”π

Your photos have captured the essence of the sea’s calm, relaxing vibe. I’m glad it was such a good time for you. π
At this moment of life, my wife and I are starting to look at buying our first house. Something that has always appealed to me is having a view of a sea or ocean from at least some part of that house. Though this does raise the price (by a little or a lot depending on which part of Wellington we look in) it is something of importance to me. I feel deep inspiration to be creative simply by being able to see the water! π
