New Year arrives with probably the most peaceful month of the year. Sometimes it feels a little dull, but after the hustle and bustle of crazy December, it’s nice to have a chill time, to sort things out, both physically and mentally.
I like January for its coziness and many rituals, which I’ve obtained within a few years. The first week of the month still feels like December, because in Armenia we celebrate the holidays until January 6 (sometimes even longer), but after that it’s finally time to relax. And that’s what my January bullet journal represents – peace.

This month’s layout is in beautiful winter colors – white, silver and dusty blue. When I think about winter, I instantly remember January, because it usually starts snowing a little more in this month, that’s why the page has some snowy vibes.

Some of my favorite traditions of the beginning of the year include reading the annual horoscope, finding out about the celestial events of the year, doing some tarot reading and fortune telling. Our Yuletide lasts until around January 20, so it’s the perfect time for some more magic both in life and in the bujo page. I have a huge moon above the header, which represents all the fantastic mood of the month.
Stickers of this page are quite random: I added a few Harry Potter related ones just because they suited the color scheme of the page. And, of course, some winter forest stickers to add more seasonal atmosphere.

To be fair, I don’t know any quotes about January (or even if I do, I’ve forgotten them), so these few ones I found in internet are new for me too, but I really love how poetic and beautiful they are:
- “To read a poem in January is as lovely as to go for a walk in June.” (Jean-Paul Sartre)
- “In January
it’s so nice
while slipping
on the sliding ice
to sip hot chicken soup with rice.
Sipping once
Sipping twice”. (Maurice Sendak) - “January is my favorite month when the light is plainest, least colored. And I like the feeling of beginnings.” (Anne Truitt)
- “January looks forward to the new year and back to the old year. He sees past and future.” (M. L. Stedman)

Very nice bullet journal❤ and yes, you’re right, January is a quiet month, I like it 😊

What a lovely and beautiful layout your January bullet journal has.
I remember January as the month we could build igloos in the back yard (because there was enough snow).
Happy New Year 🥳.

Yes, if my dad hadn’t helped, mine wouldn’t have turned out so great either. 😂

Happy January!
I agree – January is pleasant because of its calm.
There are these sayings about him:
January is the beginning of the year, winter is the middle.
Father January – frosts, February – snowstorms.
and I also like:
January will open a new page in the ancient calendar…
I have never associated January with cold. With snow – yes. And also – with the beginning of a new life. With ice. And real winter happiness!
