Here comes October, my most favorite month of the year.
It’s the beginning of a proper fall, when the weather actually turns colder, the nature starts changing its tones, and you finally feel the breath of the fascinating autumn.
And, of course, it’s Halloween season outside, which automatically adds more magic, mystery and spookiness to the atmosphere.
For those who don’t know, I’ve decided to start sharing my bullet journal layouts since September. So, since it’s a new month, it’s time for the second part of this little project.
Last year my October bullet journal was all about fall nature, so this year I decided to switch to the Halloween side a bit. Hence why there are lots of stickers with witchy vibes, which I absolutely love, especially the ones with cats, one doing tarot reading, and the other brewing some potion.

Sometimes my bujo pages don’t turn the way I initially wanted them to be. At first, I didn’t like the colors and the whole look of the main page, but adding the right little details always seems to fix the problem. And even if it doesn’t look perfect, I still like the magical touches.

And to keep the tradition, here are some inspirational and beautiful quotes about the most autumnal month of this season:
- “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn’t it?” (L.M. Montgomery)
- “October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle. Raindrops the size of bullets thundered on the castle windows for days on end; the lake rose, the flower beds turned into muddy streams, and Hagrid’s pumpkins swelled to the size of garden sheds.” (J.K.Rowling)
- “Ah, Lovely October, as you usher in the season that awakens my soul, your awesome beauty compels my spirit to soar like an leaf caught in an autumn breeze and my heart to sing like a heavenly choir.” (Peggy Toney Horton)
- “October, baptize me with leaves! Swaddle me in corduroy and nurse me with split pea soup. October, tuck tiny candy bars in my pockets and carve my smile into a thousand pumpkins. O autumn! O teakettle! O grace!” (Rainbow Rowell)
- “And if it’s around October twentieth and everything smoky-smelling and the sky orange and ash gray at twilight, it seems Halloween will never come in a fall of broomsticks and a soft flap of bedsheets around corners.” (Ray Bradbury)

I, too, love autumn as the best time and weather of the year, even though we’re going to get 90⁰F today (32⁰C)!!
However, Halloween has become more evil than ever before. Where it used to be “fun” it has become a celebration of death, witches and malevolence. With blood-soaked “demons” on music award shows, drag-queens in churches and satanic clubs in elementary schools here in the US, Halloween has taken on a terrible “flavor” of maliciousness. So I will celebrate
All-Hallow’s-Eve when Martin Luther published his theses on the Wittenburg Church door.

that’s really sad, that something quite “innocent and fun” has become into such a horrible thing in there! I like to think of it as a magical time, like in good old movies 🧡
