A Fresh Start 💻

This was the longest break I’ve taken in my blog for more than 2 years. And now, finally I’m back.

The reason of the break was to simply have a digital detox (even though I was still quite active in Instagram), after having a crazy few months, trying to post as much as possible and spending too much time in my phone.

The next reason are changes. I want to change sth in my blog site, to start writing about other things, but I’m not quite sure what. And that’s the main problem. I feel like people (as well as myself), can get tired of the same, repetitive content, as we always seek sth more. So, I’m planning on adding more various topics (like more tips, monthly book/movie reviews, personal experience and advice, etc.), and I hope I’ll understand what works the best both for me and my readers in the meantime.

The third and last reason is that I want to pay more attention to other stuff, rather than the mandatory weekly blog posts. I had some higher expectations of what this blog could grow into, but sadly they’re not matching with the reality, so for now I’m trying to find sth new and more efficient/interesting. Again, have no idea what.

Now, this doesn’t mean I won’t be posting often, quite the contrary. I want to break the boundaries and rules, which I set myself. I want to be more free and care less about whether a post will be long or short enough, or how I should manage to stick to posting every single week, even if I don’t have anything to say. Or if I do have something to say, I don’t want to postpone the post until the next week.

So, what I’m trying to say, is that there’ll be no time limits. Sometimes these limits or deadlines work really good, they give your brain and subconsciousness the right motivation to come up with a fresh idea because you’re out of time. But I feel like that’s not what I want right now. Maybe that will change in a week or a month, as I’m quite an annoying perfectionist and in some things I like order and discipline just as much as freedom. It’s all about the right balance, I guess.

I reckon this post didn’t have a special meaning or didn’t give anything new or interesting, but I felt like giving a proper start to this year. And that’s it!

  1. Advice from other ‘successful’ bloggers include staying focused on one thing, connecting via Instagram, FB and other social websites… all of which I ignore. 😏 Just blogging to put my thoughts on various topics from Apricot Banana Bread (next week 😉) to Christian philosophy to world events to humor – it works for me as opposed to me working for my blog.
If one wants to make money here, those ‘successful’ bloggers’ advice may be needed, but if you just want to share your life with those of us who have grown to care about you, just lay back and enjoy communicating when you feel like it. Friendship should not be regulated by rules.
