One Day in a Secret Garden 🌲

Well actually in a Botanical park, I just love this title a lot.

If you’ve read or watched “Secret Garden“, you can understand that feeling of that spring freshness. I don’t want to talk much about that book, as I’m saving it for a different post, but it’s the perfect read for spring, as you get to be reborn with the trees, nature and the garden.

So why did I named this post like that? Because that one day in the park, in wild nature with no people, made me feel reborn. Spring can’t be complete without some time in wilderness, among trees and flowers. Especially after a heavy rainfall, when nature seems the most reawakened, with raindrops still on the leaves and grass, the petrichor (the smell of earth after rain), even the muddy paths and puddles, which add some highlight to the general atmosphere. And you’re not afraid of getting dirty or wet, because you feel yourself an integral part of nature and getting muddy is more than normal.

One simple day can be filled with so much. Collecting flowers for a herbarium, finding an old greenhouse, and thereby fulfilling another little dream, listening to the various singings of birds, discovering new plants and flowers, walking in the hollow and mysterious woods, with not a soul around, capturing the perfectness of nature, even meeting a new friend, in the form of a squirrel…

Every time I’m in the woods, I feel myself in a different reality, a far better one to be honest. The nature somehow manages to make you sort out your priorities in life, understand what’s essential and what’s not. It makes you feel connected with you soul even more than before and to get that feeling of peace, harmony and sincere joy. Not talking about that being in a dark and shadowy places like that make me relive all my favorite movies and books, feel myself a protagonist of my own story, which is absolutely amazing.

Sharing the photography I took in there, and hoping you’ll enjoy it at least half as much as I did, and it will fill your hearts with calmness and delight.

  3. Amazing post and pictures! Indeed nature has its own beauty, which never makes us feel alone. It’s like a companion with whom we would like to spend whole day. I don’t know about the book but your post has nicely summarized. Thank you for sharing this!
